“In Parallel” is a diptych, each 12x36” as mixed media paintings on gallery wrapped canvas.
Created during a period of exploration… this piece allows variation to lead.
Each piece follows the same structure, using layered bands of various metals. Some are left as they are, others are oxidized and allowed to shift naturally. The variation comes from the material itself… how it reacts, how it settles, how it changes.
This was about repetition, placement, and process… creating order through pattern and letting the materials do what they do.
Put together, they sit in parallel… structured, consistent, and quietly different.
