This piece plays with contrast… oxidized iron layered in bands, broken up by lines of glitter suspended in epoxy that catch the light as you move past it.
The rust forms on its own terms… unpredictable, uneven, and raw. It’s not controlled, and it’s not meant to be. Between those sections, the cleaner lines were placed intentionally… something brighter, sharper, almost disruptive against the organic surface.
There’s a balance here… or maybe a disagreement.
Not everything is meant to be refined. Not everything is meant to be soft.
