Tribulation

$2,500.00

“Tribulation” is a 20x60” mixed media painting on gallery wrapped canvas. This painting is rusted liquid iron with a horizon line of verdigris copper. This “Tribulation” series painting has over 7 layers of medium giving the painting amazing depth.

This piece was created during a time of disruption… when structure gave way to something unfamiliar.

Working with iron, copper, and reactive materials, the surface was allowed to shift, oxidize, and respond without full control. What had once felt predictable no longer was.

There is tension here… between order and what resists it… between holding on and being forced to let go.

It reflects a period of adjustment… of learning to exist outside of a rhythm that once defined everything.

Not everything settles easily. Some things are endured… until a new structure begins to form.
